Hi and welcome to my site. I am a TLC wedding celebrant & funeral celebrant operating in Glasgow, Ayrshire and throughout Scotland. It is my aim to ensure that everyone receives the right ceremony that is tailored specifically to them and meets their own individual needs.
I am a retired police officer having served 30 years within Strathclyde Police and then laterally Police Scotland. I have an extensive background as a public speaker having delivered lectures for many years to significant audiences including university courses, child protection services, police training courses as well as presenting evidence in high profile legal proceedings some resulting in the conviction of serial killers. In addition to undertaking celebrant duties, I have operated as a match official in the Scottish football Premiership for the last 15 years, working in highly pressurised environments. I feel that I have the skills and experience to work with you to structure your ceremony in the most appropriate way for you.
The weddings I conduct are fun and light hearted and I always involve the couple at every stage of the planning to ensure every life celebration captures moments of happiness, joy, love and sometimes the odd tear.
On the day, I will tell your love story and incorporate all those funny stories from the time you have spent together. I conduct a ceremony which is fully legally binding and which can take place anywhere in Scotland, whether in a castle, a hotel, a beach, gardens or elsewhere. There is no need to do it all again at a Registry Office. I will work with you to ensure your day is everything you want it to be – romantic, funny, and focussed on you.
I am happy to meet up for a no obligation chat or a coffee (I might even buy them) for you to judge for yourselves if I am suited to your requirements and see if I can help you moving forward. If you decide to instruct me to conduct your ceremony, we will have a ceremony planning meeting to create your perfect ceremony. I will be dedicated to you and available for any questions you have in the lead-up to your big day.
During my time as a Police Officer I worked extensively with bereaved families in a variety of roles. I have particular experience working with families who have suffered bereavements due to addiction, child death and victims of crime. My particular passion is to ensure that families are aware of what they can include during the funeral service, as I believe many families do not realise the amount of autonomy they have to do whatever they want during their funeral service. I sit with you, listen to your memories of your loved one and then draft a personal and bespoke tribute which I will email to you. You can then make any changes to ensure it is absolutely right on the day. It may be that you would like a non-religious service or one that incorporates faith elements....either way, the service will be reflective, true and absolutely individual. I will provide you with a wonderful ceremony.
I will always ensure that I’m dedicated to you and your family should you decide to entrust me with your funeral service. I’m always happy to be contacted to discuss what services I can offer and how I can support your family even if you ultimately decide that you do not wish me to conduct the ceremony, there is no obligation.
