Take Ian and Catherine. I married them at Blantyre Vics Social Club, a place close to my heart, as I've refereed plenty of matches on the pitch just outside. They didn't want flashy or formal. Their story was real and moving. Ian had nearly lost his life on the way home from a holiday abroad, and that brush with death gave them the push to say, "Life's too short, let's do this."
